Live as though each minute is your last

Quick!
There may be no day after this one!
Perhaps the sun will set, and never rise again…We must live as though today is our last ever chance to…well…blog.

No but really….someone once told me that you should live every day as though you are dying. Very wise words.

I bet you would get a lot more out of life…really appreciate things much more, you know? If you lived as though each minute were your last.

I try to do this everyday now. I mean just yesterday I was shopping in ASDA (which is owned by walmart might I just add) and as I was perusing the aisles in this over-air-conditioned venue (you know they do that to disguise the fact that you are actually in hell…it gets very hot in hell, and people are less inclined to spend money when they are sweating) when I allowed an intense look of terror to cross my face. I started to pick up speed, and by the time I got to the dairy products I was in a full sprint, shopping cart weaving all over the place…Then just before I started screaming wildly I poured a carton of yoghurt down my shirt.

Then in a voice of sheer terror I started telling anyone that would listen that some man in aisle 12 had told me that he had bird flu and he had then projectile vomited all over me. After a matter of minutes, who knows maybe even seconds, panic had spread to other aisles, and before long the 5000 sq meters of shopping centre was filled with alarmed, if not frightened, shoppers.

So you see, not only was I living each moment like I was dying, but I was able to encourage others to do so too.

  1. Definitely are wise words. Keep blogging…you never know, maybe some day what you wrote/write here is read by someone and transforms a persons perspective on things important to themselves and those they care around them.
