Chocolate Egg Nog

This is a perfect pick me up for those cold winter months.

Serves 8:
8 egg yolks
7oz/200g sugar
1 3/4 pints / 1 litre of milk
8oz/225g dark chocolate, grated
150ml dark rum

* Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until thickened.
* Pour the milk into a large pan, add the grated chocolate and bring just to the boil.
* Remove from the heat and gradually beat in the egg yolk mixture.
* Stir in the rum and pour into heatproof glasses.
